Air Valves

ARV-1″- A Automatic Air Valve

Application

Designed to efficiently expel the accumulated air in pipes, filters, tanks and any place where the presence of air is detrimental to proper operation.

The suction valves are located at the outlet of pipes whose slope varies in relation to the hydraulic gradient, at points where the pipe rises above ground level, in large branches of uniform slope, at the entrance of measuring instruments, at the outlet of reducing valves, in diameter reductions, pumps, filtering systems and on each side of crossroads under roads.

For the correct operation of the valve it must always be placed in a vertical position. It is recommended to install a manual isolation valve under the suction cup, to allow maintenance and repair operations without having to cut the entire system.

Features

  • Extraction of air in small pipes while filling. When the water reaches the inside of the valve, the float rises and closes the outlet port.
  • It automatically and continuously maintains its purging function on any air bag that could reach the valve, as these cause the float to descend immediately and partially or totally open the closing hole. The water pressure does not prevent this function.
  • Protects from crushing in small pipes, because with the minimum depression, the float lowers, opening the closure, so that the outside air penetrates the pipe immediately.

Advantage

  • It has a single closure that expels the kinetic and residual air, all automatically and without the pressure of the water being able to prevent these functions.
  • Simple in design, with just five pieces, its removal is simplified in the event of having to carry out maintenance or cleaning work.
  • The unique design of the Y-shaped orifice achieves a much higher air flow than other valves of this type, both in the expulsion and inlet phases.
  • Its perfect fit makes it watertight at very low pressures.
  • Red body for easy viewing.

Technical specifications

  • Continuous and automatic operation.
  • It will evacuate at least 70 m³ / h of air without causing the valve to close in the absence of water.
  • Volume of air extracted of at least 15 m³ / h at 10 mca
  • Operating pressure up to 16 Kg / cm².
  • Body and base made of polyamide reinforced with fiberglass. Protective treatment against ultraviolet rays.

ARV-1″-KA Kinetic and Automatic Air Valve

Application

Valve designed to extract air from pipes, large filters, tanks and, in general, from any element that must operate free of the presence of air.

It is recommended to install a manual isolation valve under the suction cup, to allow maintenance and repair operations without having to cut the entire system *.

Features

  • Extracts air from the pipes as they fill. When the water reaches the valve, the float rises, closing the expulsion hole.
  • It automatically maintains its function of purging air that could reach the valve. Well, this causes the float to drop to the total or partial opening of the closure, whatever the water pressure.
  • It avoids crushing, since with the minimum depression the float falls and opens the closure, so that atmospheric air enters the pipe immediately.

Advantage

  • Its exclusive independent double closing system, one for the kinetic function and the other for the automatic one, and the low density of its float make it hermetic during the pressurization or emptying of the system, however slow these operations are.
  • A new interior design ensures that the float resists airflow at speeds exceeding that of sound in the exhaust port. The closure only occurs due to the action of water.
  • Includes inner grille at the elbow to prevent foreign objects from entering the valve.

Technical specifications

  • Combination suction cup.
  • It will evacuate at least 500 m³ / h of air without causing the valve to close in the absence of water.
  • Volume of air extracted of at least 45 m³ / h at 4 mca
  • Operating pressure up to 16 Kg / cm².
  • Body and base made of polyamide reinforced with fiberglass.
  • Protective treatment against ultraviolet rays.
  • 1 ”M base thread. Optional thread in BSP or NPT and in plastic or brass ARV-1 ”-KA (B).
  • Outlet with 3/4 ”H threaded filter.

ARV-2″-KA Kinetic and Automatic Air Valve

Application

Valve designed to extract and admit air from pipes, large filters, tanks and, in general, from any element that must operate free of the presence of air.

Features

  • Extracts air from the pipes as they fill. When the water reaches the valve, the float rises closing the expulsion hole.
  • It automatically maintains its function of purging the air that could reach the valve since this causes the float to drop and the closure to open completely or partially, whatever the water pressure.
  • It avoids crushing, since, with the minimum depression, the float falls and opens the closure, with which the atmospheric air penetrates into the pipeline immediately.

Advantage

  • Its exclusive independent double closing system, one for the kinetic function and the other for the automatic one, and the low density of its float make it hermetic during the pressurization or emptying of the system, however slow these operations are.
  • A new interior design achieves that the float resists the air flow at speeds that exceed the sound in the outlet hole. The closure only occurs due to the action of water.
  • Includes an inner grille at the elbow to prevent foreign objects from entering the valve.

Technical specifications

  • Triple operation suction cup.
  • It will evacuate at least 1000 m³ / h of air without causing the valve to close in the absence of water.
  • Volume of air extracted of at least 200 m³ / h at 2.8 mca
  • Operating pressure up to 16 Kg / cm².
  • Body and base made of polyamide reinforced with fiberglass.
  • Protective treatment against ultraviolet rays.
  • 2 ”M base thread. Optional thread in BSP or NPT and in plastic or brass ARV-2 ”-KA (B).
  • 1-1 / 4 ”H threaded outlet with grid.
