The single channel (SOLO) Ferti-Gator® machine makes use of a single 400 l/Hr (MINI) or 1000 L (MAXI) venturi injector. The SOLO Ferti-Gator® machine is equipped with on board system controls allowing fertigation to take place in one of a number of methods. These include: flow on flow or EC/pH control.
The Flow on Flow injection method is done by measuring the irrigation water flow rate in the main line and adjusting the liquid fertilizer injection rate proportionate to the water flow rate.
The EC/pH injection method is done by measuring the EC/pH level in the system and adjusting the liquid fertilizer injection rate proportionate to one of the values. Although both EC and pH can be monitored, only one can be used as the value against which fertilizer will be proportionally injected.
The SOLO is equipped with a 4″ colour touch screen which is easy to operate. Five pre-programmed recipes which can be selected by the system operator when running in Hand mode or via an external Controller when running in Auto mode. These recipes apply to both injections methods described above. If a SOLO machine is interfaced with the iGator® irrigation software, full control of the machine is achieved through the iGator® system.
The SOLO Ferti-Gator® machine uses variable speed drive technology to change the speed of the booster pump thus achieving a simple yet power efficient method of fertilizer injection rate and control.
